Jewish Federation - Holocaust Awareness

The OC welcomes Jewish Federation - Holocaust Awareness. Over 1000 high school students from Edmonton and the Greater Edmonton Area were in attendance to see a video presentation, ask questions, and hear first hand experience from First Generation Holocaust Survivor Bobbie Wiezman. Students were given a copy of the Nobel Prize Winning Novel ‘NIGHT’ by Elie Wiesel.

The OC is honored to welcome the Jewish Federation - Israel at 60. In Celebration of Israel’s 60th birthday, guests enjoyed dinner and a thought provoking presentation about the history and beauty of Israel. MC and Global TV Morning News Co-host Mike Sobel, and musical performance by Israeli Pop Star Singing Sensation Ruti Navon enlivened the dancing and entertainment. With a grand finale rendition of the Israeli National Anthem finishing the evening with full heartfelt audience participation.

The OC welcomes Punjabi Virsa 2008 - An Evening with Indian Pop Stars. The house was packed and the place was jumping! Over 800 guests were in attendance to see the show as Enchanting Vocalists Kamal Heer, Sangtar, and Manmohan Waris and their ensemble filled the OC’s grand hall with beautiful music.

The OC hosts The Art of Conversation with Radio Personality Rob Christie and Edmonton SUN’s Graham Hicks. Thanks to the 80+ hearty souls who braved the Arctic cold to attend the Art of Conversation XX at the OC! The OC pulled out all the stops, treating hungry conversation seekers to some amazing catered menu samplings while Edmonton singer-song writer Kelly Alanna's seductive voice filled the Centre's elegant marble, glass, and wood foyer.
